About Our Process

Whether you need us for editing or sound we meet with each client to discuss the goal.   If you are doing sound we strongly suggest to do so after you finish editing your project.  Although there are rare times when you need to adjust editing after a final cut, such as with sale or distribution, doing sound last avoids duplicating work.

Our goal is to make each client happy so it is important that we cover your vision for the end results.   Regardless of what your vision may be, we will make suggestions as to reach that the best way possible.    A lot of times we will see potential issues and try to resolve them quickly.  With every project there are usually issues that need to be resolved.   Sometimes it can be that the project doesn’t have enough coverage, bad sound, or that you have hired someone else that didn’t do a job to your satisfaction.  Either way, we will certainly try our best to get your project where it deserves to get.

Step one is to make sure you have a final edit.  Then we work on the sound, which may include ADR (Additional Dialogue Recording) or foley to get a professional sound.  Finally we may add music, either something you have picked, or we can pick, or create an originally score for the project.  We work with Final Cut Pro X (7 available if needed), Motion, Logic, Livetype, DVD Studio Pro, and Soundtrack Pro.
